Abstract Guidelines

If you intend to send in your abstract for consideration at the conference, we highly recommend getting familiar with the following guidelines -

  • The presenting author is responsible for making sure that all co-authors are aware of the content of the abstract prior to submission.
  • The presenting author has to list himself/herself as the first author.
  • Abstracts submitted must include unpublished data.
  • Previously submitted abstracts will be deemed inadmissible.
  • Abstracts have to be submitted as well as presented in plain English with accurate grammar and spelling of a quality suitable for publication. If you need help, please arrange for your abstract to be reviewed by a native English-speaking colleague, a university-specific publication office (or other similar institution), or a copy editor before submission.
  • Any and all symbols used have to be submitted as words.
  • Every abstract that is accepted for presentation will be posted on the conference website prior to the conference.
  • You may submit more than one abstract. However, presenters accepted for an oral presentation will only be permitted to make one oral presentation. Accepted additional abstracts will therefore be posters only.
  • It is worth taking note that the submitting author will receive all correspondence regarding the abstract, which is why it is crucial to make sure that the author details that are submitted are the same as those of the author presenting the abstract.
  • Abstracts cannot be edited/updated after final submission. You are welcome to bring an updated summary onsite with you.
  • Your abstract is not successfully submitted until you receive a confirmation email after clicking the final submission button. If a confirmation email has not been sent to you, we recommend getting in touch with us.

Registration Guidelines

We urge you to make sure to pay your registration fees before the deadline for the selected registration type and also take note of the following guidelines -

  • If your payment isn't received by the deadline, subsequent charges will automatically apply. Unpaid or only partially paid registrations will not be considered valid until fully paid.
  • Each attendee will receive a registration overview and an email notification confirming receipt of payment. In order to see the status of your payment, login to your account.
  • In the event that an online credit/debit card payment is rejected, it is recommended that you return to your online registration and attempt to process the payment again. If the payment problem persists, you are requested to first contact the card issuer/bank to check for any possible blocking of the online transaction. If this is the case, once this option is removed, it will be possible to pay via the online payment gateway.
  • To guarantee the validity of your registration, please ensure that any payment made by bank transfer is free of all bank charges and transfer fees. Please also ensure that your name and registration number are clearly indicated in the bank transfer. Those payments that are received without these details (name, registration number) cannot be easily identified and will be considered invalid.
  • All participants are required to create accounts and register using the online registration form available on this website.
  • All participants will receive unique registration numbers by email after submitting their respective online registration forms.
  • Payment by bank transfer must include your registration number (received after the end of the registration process) and the name of the participant in the payment details.
  • In the event of force majeure, the organizers of this event reserve the right to modify or cancel the conference without notice, including any change of time and/or meeting place. Any such occurrence of an event of force majeure has to be communicated as soon as reasonably possible from the moment of the decision. Force majeure comprises any circumstance beyond the reasonable control of the organizers which prevents or hinders the completion of the conference. This includes, but isn't limited to, government actions, war or hostilities, riots or civil unrest, plague or any other epidemic such as COVID-19 (and any of its variants), SARS, bird flu, earthquake, flood, a hurricane, cyclone, fire or any other natural physical disaster, explosion, accident or breakdown, strike, lack of usual means of transport or terrorism.
